Under general direction, to assist in planning, organizing, directing, and coordinating the work of a major legal division of the District Attorney's Office; and to do other work as required. Incumbents of this class report to the Assistant District Attorney and assist in the management of the Riverside Area Criminal Division, the Desert Area Criminal Division, or the Family Support Division. Responsibilities are primarily managerial in nature and differs from the Assistant District Attorney by the latter’s responsibility to assist the department head in the administration of the District Attorney’s Office. By contrast, positions of the next lower classification, Supervising Deputy District Attorney, provide first-line supervision to major sections within a geographic division, or have charge of a County-wide division of moderate size.

L.A. judge bars D.A.'s office from appeal of murder case Los Angeles Superior Court Judge William Ryan removed the entire district attorney's office from an appeal by a survivor of domestic violence, imprisoned for arranging the murder of her abusive boyfriend in 1982, the Los Angeles Times reported. Attorneys for the defendant claim county prosecutors didn't live up to their 2005 agreement to support her release. The D.A.'s office says that they made an offer to plead to a lesser charge, but pulled the offer once they learned more about the case. Ryan found that the D.A.'s office couldn't fairly cross-examine their own bosses and gave the case to the state attorney general's office. Public aware of Riverside County Ol Boys Club of authorities crime coverup of for favors for friends as Grand Jury recent report shows evidence of. These same Riverside Homicide Detectives in this story in our case told a story that they said was evidence and on recorded statements made by victims wife. When the family requested the recording of the fact it was not given to them till 4 months later from internal affairs. It turned out to be a false story that was not in any of the statements. Until the Sheriff and DA office cleans up the public cannot be expected to tell.
